Registration is Now Open. Pond Hockey North America Championship. January 22-24, 2010

Ok guys and girls - we begin our registration. Thought I would give you a heads up so that you know what to expect.

#1 - yes we are expanding the venue. We expect 96 adult male teams [yes females are ok to play on men's teams] and we are going to offer AA and A levels for the open division only.

Adult Divisions available are 21+ open AA, 21+ A, 35+, 45+, 60+, 70+. Womens Divisions are B1, B2, C1, C2. One A player will be allowed to play on the B1 team. Teen group is 13-16, and 17 - 20 and players must contact the XL Hockey league for registration information and qualifying levels 763-458-0568. The mites are ages 5,6 & 7,8.

Registration Costs Adult Division

AA - 21+ ($600.00) 6 players, you can roster 8 but only 6 can play per game

A - 21+ ($500.00) 6 players, you can roster 8 players, 6 can play

35+ ($500.00) 6 Players, you can roster 8 players, 6 can play

45+ ($500.00) 6 players , you can roster 8 players - 6 can play

60+ ($500.00) 8 players

70+ ($500.00) 8 players

Registration Costs WHAM - Women's

500.00  8 players per team - 4 divisions

Registration Cost XL League - Teen's www.xlhockeyleague.com

450.00 8 players per team 2 divisions

Registration Cost Mites

300.00  10 players per team 2 divisions
 

#2 - open division will be ages 21+, AA is defined as any player that competed at the Junior Hockey, Varsity High School, College [club or NCAA] or higher level with in the last 10 years.

#3 - we will be adding the XL Hockey league [ages 13-16, 16-20] division. Please contact Commisioner Josh Leddy at 763-458-0568 to understand which level of play you will qualify for [silver or gold]. After that, come back and register to play.

#4 - Games.  AA games will be guaranteed of 4 minimum. All other Adults are 3 game guarantee.

#5 - Two Mite age groups 5,6 and 7,8 year olds. Age level is determined by USA hockey cut off date of July 1st. Any team from anywhere can be put together in groups of 10. This group will play 5 on 5, no goalie - they use the same goals as the big boys. Play will begin on January 16th Saturday and finish on Sunday. Registration will begin May 30th.

#6 - Women -  Teams will be registered in groups no larger than  8 players, and it will be same adult format 4 on 4, no goalie.  Registration will begin May 30th.

#7 - Larger tent added for 2010 - We anticipate putting a larger tent at the North End of our expanded venue for the Women, XL League and Mites to use. The mens tent will be in the same place as this year [near the dock]

Spring Point Project - a cure for Diabetes

The NAC will be donating a portion of the proceeds from this years NAC pond hockey event at Lake Minnetonka to Spring Point - a non profit organization focused on finding a cure for Diabetes. Diabetes has been growing into a larger problem for many people today. The financial support to find a cure will help provide hope for loved ones with the disease. Spring Point works with the University of Minnesota and has had some amazing breakthroughs in the search for a cure.


2nd Harvest Heartland

PHNAC would like to thank all participants and spectators attending our event January 16-18 event.

800 lbs of  non perishable food items were delivered as a donation to Second Harvest. This equals 615 meals for hungry children, seniors, and people in our neighborhood. Thank you!

In these trying times we should raise our consciousness about social responsibilities, and help those that are less fortunate and in need. We can all feel good about that!
